ShopTalk Pro was built with privacy as the foundation — not an afterthought.
We know how sensitive client information is. That’s why ShopTalk Pro is designed so no client’s personal information is ever stored, shared, or visible — not to us, not to other contractors, and not to the public.
Client information is never stored
When you rate a client, details like their email or phone number are scrambled (hashed) on your device before anything is saved.
We never store names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses. Only anonymous, irreversible identifiers.
Searches are private and anonymous
When you search for a client, the same scrambling process happens again.
If a match exists, you’ll see aggregated feedback only. Not who left it, and not any identifying details about the client.
Contractors stay anonymous
Your identity is never attached to a specific rating.
Other users, and clients, cannot see who submitted any review.
No public profiles for clients
Clients are not searchable, not listed, and not visible anywhere in the app.
There are no client profiles, names, or records that could ever be browsed or exposed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this anonymous?
Yes. Client identifiers are hashed in your browser and only the hashes are stored. Your ratings are never tied to your identity.
What do you store about clients?
Only hashed tokens (not the raw email/phone) and structured rating fields. No names, no free text.
When do search results appear?
Once enough ratings exist for that client token to protect anonymity and accuracy.
Can clients see my ratings?
No. Ratings are anonymous and shown only as aggregates to verified contractor members.
Do I have to appear in the directory?
No. Profiles are private by default. You may opt in at any time.
